iMatta Inc. built the TASKn app as a Commercial app. This SERVICE is provided by iMatta Inc. and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which are accessible at TASKn unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including account identifiers, email address, profile and settings information, and the task and project content you provide. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.
The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

TASKn connections to AI assistants (MCP)
This section applies when you connect your TASKn account to an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Muse. iMatta Inc., based in Canada, provides TASKn worldwide.
Data and purposes
We process account identifiers and authentication information to identify your connected account and authorize access. Connector requests and responses can include task and project names, descriptions, dates, priorities, statuses, task relationships, sharing information and progress statistics. We use this information to carry out the task operations you request. Technical request information, such as IP addresses and timestamps, may be processed by our hosting and authentication providers to operate and secure the service.
Providers and recipients
Supabase provides our database, authentication and connector backend. Our database is hosted in the United States. Hostinger hosts our website and the MCP proxy that handles connector traffic; the proxy server is in Massachusetts, United States, with hosting backups in Boston. Administration by iMatta Inc. takes place in Canada. These services may process information across borders under their service policies.
The assistant you choose receives the results of the tools it invokes for your connected account. Those results can include your task content and tasks shared with you. The assistant provider handles information under its own privacy policy. TASKn sharing features also make information available to the people you choose to share with, according to their access permissions.
Retention, deletion and your controls
We retain account and task data until you delete it or request account deletion. You can edit and delete tasks in TASKn. The connector can permanently delete a task after explicit confirmation; deleting descendants requires separate confirmation. You can request account deletion through TASKn settings or by contacting support@taskn.app. Our data deletion policy describes acknowledgement within 48 hours, deletion within 30 days and backups retained for up to 90 days. Hosting and authentication providers retain technical records according to their applicable service policies and retention settings.
You can manage or disconnect the connection in the assistant that initiated it. Disconnecting an assistant does not delete your TASKn account or tasks. TASKn does not currently provide its own connected-app management screen; contact support for help with access, correction, deletion or connection access questions. Data already received by an assistant is subject to that provider’s controls and retention policy.
Government requests
iMatta Inc. reviews each request for authenticity, legal authority, jurisdiction and scope. We do not provide voluntary access to private user data; disclosure is limited to what is legally required. We seek legal advice and challenge unlawful or overly broad requests where appropriate, and notify affected users unless prohibited by law.
Outside the MCP connector, TASKn uses PostHog for product analytics about app usage, such as feature events and platform information, and Sentry for error diagnostics. RevenueCat supports subscription entitlements, and Expo and Google Play Services support app features and delivery. If you use TASKn’s optional AI task creation feature, your submitted messages and relevant task/project context, language and date/time settings are sent to OpenAI to generate or revise task suggestions. These app features are separate from the MCP connector.
